OUR DANCE PROGRAM

Night Club Social, Social Foundation, Social Bronze, Bronze, Silver & Gold levels!
We teach American Style social dancing from the nationally recognized DanceVision (D.V.I.D.A.) program.

Viennese Waltz, Night Club Two Step, Rumba, Ballroom Tango, Samba, Bolero, Hustle, Single Swing, Merengue & West Coast Swing.

Several popular line dances are also available including The Electric Slide, The (Saturday) Night Fever Line Dance and The Cupid Shuffle.

  • DRESS FOR SUCCESS:

    - For women, we recommend a skirt no longer than calf length or loose fitting slacks and regular street pumps or flats with leather soles.
    - For gentlemen, slacks and leather sole shoes with some flexibility are preferred.
This will allow you to move more freely.
Jeans, sneakers, boots and sandals may seem comfortable but they are not recommended for most social dancing. DANCE SHOES ARE RECOMMENDED!

Ask your teacher which shoes are right for you before ordering.

PRIVATE LESSONS
Private lessons are given Monday thru Friday at Dance Connection Dance Center.
Private lessons are the fastest way to build your dancing skills and are normally one teacher with an individual or a couple.
NO PARTNER NECESSARY.
As a beginner you should understand that it takes several lessons for most people to acclimate themselves to dancing.
You will be learning to move yourself differently and repetition is the key.

Benefits of Private Lessons:
- Learn from a nationally recognized standard that is taught at your own pace with attention to your specific needs including...
- How to lead and follow with proper partnership.
- The techniques, characteristics and terminology of dancing.
- Proper posture, control and balance.
- Understanding music and timing.
- How to blend patterns and develop floorcraft.

How Much are Private Lessons?

Private Lessons for an individual or a couple are $60 per lesson and are available in monthly blocks. Each lesson is 50 minutes long. You should arrive 5 minutes early as your instructor can't "make up lost time" by going over into the next hour.
NO CONTRACTS OR LONG TERM COMMITMENTS!
All ages from 18 to 80 welcome. Call 601.932.2374 for more info.
Consider our very popular weekly class lessons if the cost of private lessons is not in your budget. (see below...)
